Description of project
The brine pipe bridge Gosauzwang connects the towns of Hallstatt and Gosau in Austria. The pillars are up to 30 meters high and were built around 1758. Today, they carry an aluminium lattice construction which is used as a pedestrian and cyclist bridge. In 2017 the bridge became a listed construction.
Our office was commissioned with the constructional inspection and recalculation of the lattice for the reconstruction of the pipeline in 2025.
Description of tasks
- In-situ inspection
- Elaboration of inspection report including plans
- Recalculation of bridge in its current state
- Recalculation of bridge with additional load caused by the newly planned brine pipes (in different variations)
