Description of bridge
The Hölltobel-Bridge is a 3-span, loosely reinforced slab bridge with a radius of approx. 26.50 m in the road axis. The abutment and the centre pier are situated parallel to each other. As the bridge was rated a 5 (“bad state of preservation”) the county government of Vorarlberg ordered a recalculation with the up-to-date standards and the norm ONR 24008. So the actual load reserve capacity could be determined in consideration of the heavily corroded reinforcement.
