Description of project
The existing area of the sawmill hall at the Erhart Ltd in Sonntag (A) was covered with a new roof between May 2021 and February 2023 to guarantee premium handling of all sorts of timber. The hall is 40.20 m long and approximately 27 m wide with a ridge height of + 18.10 m. The foundation supports and eaves beams consist of ferroconcrete, the gable roof girders are made of glulam, the gable roof and wall constructions of timber. Stairs, handrails as well as gangways are steel constructions. A 10 tonnes indoor crane was installed for repair works on the saw. The erection of the indoor crane took place during normal operations above the old hall roofs, which were dismantled after the completion.
