Description of project
The listed building “Rathausgasse 12” in Bludenz (A) houses different offices as well as a shop on the ground floor. The city council of Bludenz commissioned us with the structural analysis of the retrofit. During reconstruction works the poor condition of the roof truss became obvious. Thereupon we received a follow-up order for the structural analysis of the truss’ refurbishment.
The assignement consisted of:
- structural dimensioning retrofit of ceilings, walls and elevator shaft
- appraisal and documentation of the existing roof truss including measurement and design of plans
- structural re-calculation of present roof truss with elaboration of restauration measures
- structural analysis and calculation retrofit of roof truss
It was necessary to adjust the existing structure of the roof truss to current regulations considering the regulations of the National Heritage Agency.
Description of tasks
- appraisal of building structures with in-situ surveys
- measurement and design of plans for existing structures
- draft of inspection report and structural report of existing building stock
- structural analysis refurbishment
- structural calculations of retrofitting (roof truss, carrier, glazing, abutment beams, vertical supports) in cooperation with the National Heritage Agency
- pre-dimensioning of restauration measures
