Description of project

The housing estate consists of a 4-storey house (16,20m/11,91m) with six flats. Two apartments were planned on each floor. The housing estate has a basement. The complete house automation and a large bike parking area are situated on the ground floor. One cellar compartment per apartment was provided.

A surface foundation was carried out on the base plate. The housing estate was built as solid construction with attached balconies. Walls, ceilings and stairways were made of reinforced concrete. A laminated timber ceiling was chosen as carrying construction for the balconies, which is supported by I-sections and steel stanchions respectively is fitted to the solid construction by steel angles. The planning had to put special attention on the thermal and acoustical requirements. Therefore, the balconies were entirely separated in thermal respect and the stairs were sound insulated. The facade consists of a silver fir cladding with rear ventilation.

It was of great importance to elaborate individual solutions and concepts in regard of statically aspects due to the alpine surroundings.
