Description of project

The old Reutele-Bridge was destroyed at the flood in August 2005. Therefore the erection of a new bridge in consideration of the updated flood flows was necessary. The characteristic of the hiking bridge across the Lutz in the municipality of Sonntag is that it is made of three crane girder parts of a tower crane, which are joined with plug connections common in crane construction. Through additional diagonals at the girder joints and strengthening at the bridge supports it was possible to adapt the framework of the crane girders in a way to create a fully adequate pedestrian bridge.
