A14 Rheintal/Walgau motorway -reconditioning of bridges, objects V50 and V51, km 14.600 – 14.900, both carriageways
Our assignment included the preliminary design and the general design, plans for call of proposals as well as execution planning and detailed planning for the following bridges:
- Bridge V50 left + right:
- overall length of bridge 229.14 m
- width 28.60 m
- largest span 27.80 m
- total area: approx. 6,462 m2
- Bridge V51 left + right:
- overall length of bridge 81.41 m
- width 28.60 m
- largest span 27.12 m
- total area approx. 2,296 m2
Description of tasks
The complete refurbishment of the bridges included the following parts:
- Recalculation and structural strengthening of the supporting structure
- Demolition and renewal of:
- road surface,
- bridge sealing,
- expansion joints,
- bearings,
- drainage system,
- edge beam incl. road restraint system and fall protection;
- Concrete repair on substructure and supporting structure
- New building of bridge spans and of a country lane’s underpass
- Planning of traffic routeing during the building works
