Description of project
The ASFINAG Bau Management GmbH commissioned us with the bridge and foreland inspections at the viaduct Schottwien on the S06, Semmering dual carriageway, in 2023.
The viaduct Schottwien is a bridge of about 630 m length and 130 m height. The bridge with its foreland securing around the pillars and the abutments were inspected on-site. In this process the anchor beams with anchors were examined and the dynamometers as well as the extensometers were read off. Worth mentioning is the impressive height in which we had to execute the inspections.
As there was a building site on the bridge at the time of the survey, we couldn’t use a bridge inspection devise. Therefore, most of the bridge was examined with the aid of a drone.
